The 67th edition of the Miss Venezuela pageant was held on September 24, 2020 at the Estudio 1 de Venevisión in Caracas. There were two pageants during one night, the selection of Miss Venezuela World 2020 and Miss Venezuela 2020. A total of 22 contestants competed that night.

Miss Asia Pacific Quest 1989

Miss Asia Pacific International 1989 (formerly known as Miss Asia & Miss Asia Pacific) was held on September 24, 1989 in Hong Kong Cultural Centre in Kawloon, Hong Kong. Thirty entries from Asia and the Pacific regions competed for this year’s pageant.

Lorna Villanueva Legaspi, became the third Filipina to be crowned Miss Asia Pacific International. Lorna overwhelms the judges when she sang the Filipino folk song “Dahil Sayo” during the interview portion of the pageant. She also bagged the Best Talent award. She held the title for 3 years from 1989 to 1992. The pageant was cancelled due to natural calamities. Lorna crowned her successor in 1992.

Miss International 🌸 1989

The 29th edition of Miss International took place on September 17, 1989 in Kanazawa City Tourism Hall, Kanazawa, Japan. Forty Seven International contestants competed in this edition.

Iris Klein was crowned the 27th Miss International and the second German representative to win the Miss International pageant after Ingrid “Fifi” Finger who won in Long Beach in 1965.

The 27th edition of Miss International took place on September 13, 1987 in Nihon Seinen-Kan in Tokyo, Japan. Forty Seven International contestants competed this year.

Laurie Tamara Simpson Rivera of San Juan, Puerto Rico was crowned the 27th Miss International and the first winner from Puerto Rico. The blue-eyed blonde Laurie was 4th Runner-up at the 1987 Miss Universe pageant,  before going on to win Miss International 1987 pageant. Laurie was also crowned Nuestra Belleza in 1991.

Miss 💫 Universe 2011

The 60th Anniversary of the Miss Universe pageant, was held on September 12, 2011 at Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil. 89 beauty delegates participated in this year’s pageant, surpassing the previous record of 86 delegates in 2006.

Leila Luliana da Costa Vieira Lopes of Benguela, Angola was crowned the 60th Miss Universe. She became the first woman from Angola, and the fourth woman from the African continent to win the title. She travelled in 24 countries during her reign. Leila married former New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora in May 2015. She gave birth to her son in 2018.
